Certification Engineer-Job Opening
Description
ECS Woking requires a Certification Engineer for work on our BP Sullom Voe (SVGS) project. The Certification Engineer will be planning, coordinating and directing the certification programme to ensure consistency with established standards set out by the Regulatory Compliance Manager.
Duties will include:
- Responsible under direction of RC Manager, for ensuring SVGS packages and equipment are delivered in accordance with applicable EU CE Marketing Directives. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Review of RFQ documentation to ensure all applicable CE marking requirements are incorporated
- Attendance at package go / no-go meetings
- Review of supplier offers, including the raising of technical queries / clarifications & review of responses
- Attendance of bid clarification meetings
- Completion of technical bid evaluations
- Attendance of kick off meetings, as necessary
- Review and approval of EU CE marking manufacturers EC declarations of conformity / incorporation and the supporting notified body certificates
- For ATEX equipment and the review and approval of vendor ex registers
- CE Marking Tracking Matrix - as directed, manage and maintain the CE Marking Tracking Register including monthly KPI update
- Project Ex Register - responsible for coordinating the project Ex Register, including the population of supplier data once supplier Ex Register is approved and ensuring Fabrication Yard and Construction data is incorporated.
- Support the RC Manager with undertaking the CE marking of the DVGS assembly to the regulations. Tasks include but not limited to:
- Attendance of KO meetings / notified body meetings / directive workshop and any other meetings
- Input / coordination in the compilation of technical files as appropriate
- Input / coordination in the follow up of actions, both internal and external
- Deputise for the RC Manager as required
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by the RC Manager in order to ensure the SVGS project is delivered meeting all the necessary regulatory requirements
- Be prepared to travel as required by the role to project locations and supplier locations
Required qualifications / experience:
- Must have substantial previous experience as a Certification Engineer
- Experience of working on major EPC projects with Oil and Gas involvement
- Degree in Engineering or Technical qualification
Contract Duration - 18 months
