PRINCIPAL DOCUMENT CONTROLLER
ECS require a Principal Document Controller to work from our Houston office. The Principal Document Controller will be working on our subsea project and they will be recruited on a Project Hire basis.
Responsibilities of Principal Document Controller
• Responsible for project document control
• Responsible for supervising/checking work of other document controllers
• Responsible for communicating project DC issues to management.
Duties
• Establish and monitor DC progress measurement systems
• Manage, register, file, and retrieve project documentation
• Manage /prepare internal and external transmittals
• Issue documents, queries and formal letters
• Track and log received and sent documentation
• Track and record communications both internally and externally
• File and maintain all electronic and hard copy files in a user friendly format
• Assist the project team with any DC related issues
• Interface with contractors on DC coordination
• Ensure that all documents are filed to reflect latest updates
• Ensure all documentation at the end of project is handed over to the client
• Review and check work carried out by other document controllers
• Ensure compliance with project plans (HSSE/QA etc.)
• Contribute to training and development of PROJECT staff
Decision Making Authority
Decisions limited to issues affecting maintaining and operating the project document control system/procedure.

Work Location
Primary work location is PROJECT premises.
Reporting Line
This position reports to the Project Services Manager.
Minimum Requirement
Diploma or equivalent in business administration
Skilled in database administration
Skilled in word processing and relevant software for DC control
Good knowledge of systems such as Documentum and SharePoint
Significant related DC experience - preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
