We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for our Project in Iraq ; the role discription is as follows:

1. Scope of Responsibilities:
 Monitor subcontractors’ measurements, rates and payment applications, Quantities take off and site measurement. Assist in formulation and estimation of variations and related cost estimates and maintain technical and cost records.

2. Primary Duties:
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities /MTO from drawings and specifications.
• Maintain records and track BOQ Measurements (Bill of Quantities) / MTO (Made to Order) according to the approved drawings.
• Assist in verifying subcontractors’ interim and final payment applications in coordination with the site discipline engineer; present them for the further approval of the construction manager.
• Maintain technical records of the site progress meetings, issues related to drawings, direct labor hire/supply of plant, free issue materials and changes in scope of work and any other specifications.
• Keep track of third party services on day-to-day basis. Verify and approve third party invoices, liaise with them and check if the services are back chargeable to the sub-contractors.
• Maintain record of the free issue materials, manpower and equipment, sourced by Petrofac when the sub-contractor is unable to directly source the same.
• Maintain accurate records and data to enable the construction manager to resolve contractual conflicts and disputed claims with sub-contractors.
• Provide inputs for preparing cost budget based on issues related to drawings, direct labour/plant hire on regular basis and submit them to construction management.
• Implementation and adherence to HSE and Quality System procedures and plans. Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Carry out other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

3. Job/Cost Impact:
 Responsible for providing all information required by the Contracts department to analyses contract variations. Consults with supervisor on key issues.

4. Decision Making Authority:
 Key decisions affecting cost/project impact reviewed by supervisor.

5. Supervisory Responsibility:
 N/A

6. Work Contacts:
 Frequent internal and external contacts including proposal team, discipline engineers, planning engineers, subcontractors and vendors.

7. Physical Effort and Work Environment:
 Job requires relocating to the project sites till the completion of the Project. In certain postings, duties are performed in an office. Working on the PC would involve good deal of total time.

8. Minimum Requirement:
 Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical/ Electrical) with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience or Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical with minimum 12 years’ experience in Oil and Gas related petrochemical industry.

The Job
To ensure that all aspects of the process engineering design requirements are delivered to company to meet the quality, safety, cost and schedule objectives of the project and engineering support during the procurement, fabrication and installation phases.
Primary Duties
A team player with detailed experience in working in a multi-discipline team in an EPC environment
Ability to deliver the process design aspects of a project in the context of influencing and managing engineering consultants or EPC contractors
A detailed knowledge of the requirements of FEED and Detail Design in the context of the sequence and methodology of delivering high quality process engineering deliverables

Detail experience of the Value Engineering processes in use in the industry to optimize cost versus benefit
Detail experience of working with Quality and HSSE groups in a matrix environment to ensure process conformance to the QHSSE objectives
Detailed understanding of project planning and scheduling techniques, cost control and the interfaces to be managed
The People
At least 15 years experience with an Oil and gas consultant or EPC contractor or oil and gas company focusing on offshore projects. At least 5 years should have been spent leading a team of process engineers in an EPC environment delivering the process design of offshore projects. Consideration will be given to candidates who have the total experience in the oil and gas business but not necessarily only on offshore projects.
Educated to degree standard with Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical engineering. Preferably having professional engineering status or membership of a recognized professional body.

1. Scope of Responsibilities

To be part of a team of Engineers located at the Onshore Construction Site during the execution of detailed design, construction, mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contract requirements.
Provide technical input and direction, in line with project requirements, to the Construction Contractor as a part of the Design Integrity process for the Onshore facilities.

1.Scope of Responsibilities
Provide Technical Engineering guidance to Petrofac piping supervisors and craft personnel to ensure construction work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.

2. Primary Duties

Generic Responsibilities:
• Provide technical direction and implement the project construction work processes, procedures, manuals and systems ensuring that the contractors are building to the latest revision of the drawings, specifications, and procedures.
•Ensure  compliance  with  all  company  statutory  procedures  and  quality  and  safety  standards including any defined recording and reporting procedures.
•Monitor and perform technical audits, in progress inspections, testing and surveillance activities to ensure that project quality requirements are being met.
•Perform  front-end  activities  such  as  supporting  the  development  of  site  automation  plan, contributing to design of temporary facilities and utilities and supporting the development and implementation of field material control system.
•Work  in  cooperation  with  Completions  group  and  owner  representatives,  perform  system identification and turnover of completed project facilities including preparation of necessary turnover documentation.
•Perform Constructability reviews  and  studies  to  optimize  design. Propose  modifications  to engineering design and interpret drawings, specifications and other technical documents for the subcontractors.• Coordinate with and support construction vendor representatives during their assignments on the jobsite.
•Monitor generation of field materials requisitions (FMR), receipt of materials, and preparation of material summary reports.
•Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc.

Discipline Specific Responsibilities
•Check mill certificates of critical piping material to verify composition, quality and strength requirements are in accordance with relevant specifications.
•Review design drawings with fabricator to determine spools that can be preassembled in the shop before shipment.
•Check pipe spool deliveries to ensure that they match the erection sequence.
•Perform inspections to ensure that all pipe spools are adequately supported during erection until permanent supports are in position.
•Check that all erected piping is plumb, square and aligned properly and free of damage before final bolting or welding operations.
•Check that all erected piping with incomplete permanent supports is tied down to protect against wind loads, particularly at the end of the work shift.
•Check that the correct type and sequence of fastening is performed on flanges.
•Perform final walk through of all piping systems prior to commissioning to ensure that all bolts are to correct torque and that no support steelwork has been removed during construction activities.
